Charlotte Area Paranormal Society (CAPS) is a Society of like-minded, yet diverse, individuals who are ghost hunters, and Paranormal Researchers & Investigators.

We are dedicated & committed to the research, documentation, validation, history, & investigation of ghostly phenomena & paranormal activity. We utilize site visits, recorded EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena), digital & 35mm film photography, DVR & VHS recordings, & scientific measurements with calibrated instruments, along with the input of “Sensitives” in our group. We are based in & around Charlotte, NC, & conduct most of our investigations in the Piedmont Region of NC & SC.

CAPS is a not for profit organization for people to contact when needing information regarding Paranormal Activity, or Ghosts. We are here to act as a resource for anyone who believes they have experienced a haunting or Paranormal Activity. And, to help them understand what is happening, why, & offer help to those with concerns.

Our goal is to find, photograph & record the voices of ghosts, prove/disprove the validity of claims of "Haunted Places", & document the experiences of ordinary people with the extraordinary world of the supernatural & paranormal.

Ghostly phenomena will be researched/investigated with professionalism, discretion, rational logic, scientific method, & an open mind.

Thank you for your interest,
Tina R. McSwain,
Founder & President
Charlotte Area Paranormal Society
