Meet the Group!!

Tina - Founder & President

Tina serves as Lead Investigator and Historian of our group. She is a native Charlottean, and has been interested in the paranormal since reading Nancy Roberts ghost story books of the 1960's/1970's. Since childhood, she was somehow able to "just know" that a future event was about to happen and continued to become sensitive to the world around her. Her catalyst for studying the paranormal was her first encounter with a full blown apparition of a friend's grandmother. The ghost walked toward Tina, smiled, waved, and then turned around and disappeared. Soon after, Tina found and joined a number of Paranormal and Ghost Hunting groups over the years, serving in varying capacities, and continuing to learn. Wanting a more professional and research oriented group, Tina formed CAPS - Charlotte Area Paranormal Society in the Fall of 2005. Under her direction and leadership, CAPS continues to search out the unknown.

Nancy -- Lead Investigator

She is an original member of CAPS who became very drawn to the paranormal shortly after the death of her mother. She has been active in paranormal research for close to three years. Nancy loves to take her digital camera everywhere, hoping to catch a glimpse of the unknown. She enjoys the ghost hunting experience with her two children who come to most investigations.

Kimberly -  Lead Investigator

Kimberly hails from Concord, is also a  lead investigator and one of the original members of CAPS, Kimberly has been investigating the paranormal for a little over two years. Her interest in the phenomenon was sparked by several unexplained encounters, including a terrifying attack by a malevolent spirit. Joe is from Albemarle, and has been a student of the occult and paranormal most of his life. While serving in the Army, Joe has investigated ghostly occurrences at the different bases he was stationed at. His hobby of Civil War and World War 2 reenactments has caused him to look further into battlefield and military ghosts. He specializes in EVP recording and analysis, and uses a night vision video camera and digital recorder to gather paranormal evidence, along with teasing the other members when he can (he's the brother they're glad they DON'T have!)  Joe also maintains the website, and does video/audio analysis for the group
